Both sides of the table
I have spent more than fifteen years owning, buying and selling businesses myself. I know what it is to sign the lease, carry the payroll, and be the person everything runs through.
In 2025 I was named Broker of the Year after transacting the highest volume of businesses. Across a single twelve-month period I completed more than $10 million in business transactions.
I have seen first-hand what makes buyers interested, what creates hesitation, and what can make an otherwise good business difficult to sell. Most of the time it is not the business that is the problem. It is how it has been set up, recorded and presented.
I still work as a senior broker, and I am not short of listings. That is deliberate, and it is why this advice is worth having: I am not looking at your business as a listing to win. I look at it the way a buyer would, tell you plainly what I find, and help you prepare and package it so it is genuinely ready when the time comes. When you do decide to sell, I will point you to the broker best suited to your business, whether or not that is me.
I hold an MBA, a Master of Management and a Bachelor of Business. The advice is practical rather than academic, because I have done this as an owner and not only as an adviser.
