Who this is for
Owners of established small businesses, roughly $100,000 to a few million in value.
Selling in one to five yearsYou want the best possible outcome, and enough runway to fix what a buyer would find.
Not selling, but want it worth moreA business that runs without you and holds its value, whether or not you ever sell.
Told the business depends on youYou have heard “the business is you” from an accountant or a broker, and you want that to change.
Parts of it you would rather not deal withSystems, software, marketing, anything digital. You do not have to understand it to know it needs sorting.
It is not business coaching. It is the assessment a buyer would do, done first, for you.
What a buyer will look for
Buyers and their accountants keep coming back to the same questions. Not every one carries the same weight in every business, but these are the ones that decide how easy yours would be to buy. Tick the ones you could answer today.

The Review works through these in your business, along with whatever else is specific to yours.

What I look at
Every business is different, so no two Reviews look the same. Depending on yours, we might cover any of this.
The business without you
Owner dependence, handover, key staff, management structure, and what would happen to the business the week after you stopped.
The numbers and the paperwork
Financial and operational information, documentation, contracts and licences, and how ready all of it is for a buyer’s due diligence.
How the work actually gets done
Systems and processes, anything still running manually, outdated software, CRM, and automation where it genuinely earns its place.
How the business presents itself
Marketing, brand positioning, website, digital presence, and social media where it would make a real difference.
How it would go to market
What a buyer would question, how the business should be packaged and presented, and the order to do any of it in.

You do not need to understand all of it already
You might have built a very good business over twenty or thirty years without ever needing Instagram, a CRM or anything automated. You do not have to become an expert in any of it now.
Part of my job is to work out where one of those things would genuinely strengthen the business, explain it in plain commercial terms, and be just as honest about what is not worth your time. Not every business needs Instagram. But if yours has almost no digital presence and building one would make you more visible and more attractive to a buyer, I will say so.
You do not need to know any of this yet. That is what I am here for.
How the Sale-Ready Review works
A session, a report written for your business, and a meeting to work through it properly. $1,200 including GST.
One-hour business exploration
An hour together, in person or by video, going through how the business actually runs.
Your Sale-Ready Report
Written for your business: what a buyer would question, and what to do about it, in order. Within five business days.
One-hour post-report meeting
A second hour to work through the findings, answer questions and agree what happens next.
Optional implementation
Help with the work itself, if you want it. Quoted separately, and never assumed.
Worth doing long before you sell
In many cases this work is better done long before you are ready to sell. A business that could be sold is simply a better business to own.
It runs without you
Less owner dependence means a real holiday, and a business that keeps its value the moment you step back from it.
You trust the numbers
Clean, current financials make every decision easier, long before a buyer ever asks to see them.
You choose the timing
A sale-ready business can be sold when you decide to, not when circumstances decide for you.
I have sat on both sides of the table.
I have spent more than fifteen years owning, buying and selling businesses myself, and I still work as a senior broker. In 2025 I was named Broker of the Year after transacting the highest volume of businesses.
I have seen first-hand what makes buyers interested, what creates hesitation, and what can make an otherwise good business difficult to sell.

Questions owners ask first
Is this business coaching?
No. Coaching works on you. The Review works on the business as an asset: an assessment from the buyer’s side of the table, followed by a specific plan for what to change and in what order.
Is the Review the same for every business?
No, and it is not meant to be. Every business and every transaction is different. The areas I look at depend entirely on what I find in yours, which is the whole point of doing it properly rather than handing out a checklist.
I am not planning to sell. Is it still useful?
Yes, and in many cases this work is better done well before you are ready to sell. Most of what makes a business saleable also makes it easier to run and worth more. Selling becomes an option you hold, not a deadline you face.
What if I do not understand the digital side of things?
That is normal, and it is part of what I am here for. You do not need to know what a CRM is, or whether your business needs Instagram. I work out whether it would genuinely help, explain why in plain terms, and tell you honestly when the answer is that it would not.
What size of business is this for?
Established small businesses, typically valued from around $100,000 to a few million. If you are not sure whether yours fits, send a booking request and ask.
Does the Review include a valuation?
No. It tells you what would help or hurt a sale and what to fix first. An appraisal comes later, once the business is ready to be shown.
Can you help with the work afterwards?
Only if you want it. Implementation support is available after the Review, sometimes from me and sometimes alongside people I trust in accounting, automation or marketing. The $1,200 Review is complete on its own and is not designed to sell you something else.
Will you try to list my business?
No. I am a senior broker and I do not need listings, which is part of why this works. When you are ready to sell I will point you to the broker best suited to your business and your industry. Sometimes that is me. Often it is not, and I will say so.
